Moro Lounge offers exciting entertainment options for adults
Wild Coast Sun has unveiled Moro Lounge, an adult entertainment venue offering a vibrant fusion of traditional and contemporary styles set to the latest music.
Taking its name from the Xhosa greeting 'moro' meaning 'hello' or 'welcome', the lounge is rooted in local tradition with modern features such as LED downlighting and backlighting. Experience a warm and lively atmosphere.
The latest upgrades come after Wild Coast Sun achieved a four-star rating from the South African Tourism Ratings Council for both the hotel and conference and exhibition centre.
“We celebrate our location on the border of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal by incorporating themes of both Xhosa and Zulu culture throughout the resort,” said Wild Coast Sun General Manager Henry. Bokhoar said. “Moro Lounge pays homage to the Eastern Cape’s cultural heritage with a modern and stylish design.”
Located in a prime location within the iconic Wild Coast Sun Resort, Molo Lounge is a 90-seat space that offers a relaxed yet energetic atmosphere, perfect for both casual gatherings and lively nights out . The lounge is open Friday and Saturday nights, as well as during the holidays, and is a must-see for locals and visitors alike.
Fusion of tradition and modernity
“Molo Lounge has elements that reflect both tradition and contemporary flair. The space features striking corrugated roof sheets, a material that speaks to the region's humble beginnings and the resilience of its people. ” says François van der Merwe, Managing Director of Green Lemon Designs. “The corrugated metal contrasts beautifully with the contemporary lighting design, creating a unique atmosphere perfect for amapiano, jazz and dance music.
The lounge features a striking image of an African woman carrying water on her head. “These powerful visuals celebrate the strength and grace of African women and are a common sight across the region.
One image includes a dove, a symbol of peace, in a design commemorating the momentous events of 1994, further connecting the space to the country's rich history.
Entertainment space for every occasion
Moro Lounge isn't just a place to relax, it's a place full of energy and culture. On Fridays and Saturdays, the lounge transforms into a dynamic nightlife destination, showcasing live DJ sets and lounge music, gradually evolving into a full-fledged nightclub experience. On Sundays there is live jazz music and a more relaxed atmosphere, perfect for those looking to enjoy a lazy afternoon with friends.
