Monachira Camp
Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana

Receiving its namesake from the Monachira channel flowing next to the camp, this elevated camp enjoys uninterrupted view of the surrounding floodplains. Due to its location, game drives opportunities are limited, but nature walks and mokoro (traditional canoe) and boat safaris make up for it tenfold. Bask in the luxury and comfort of the camp and indulge in spa treatments and plunge pool dips before continuing to explore the surrounding islands and wildlife that inhabit the area.
With a strong focus on sustainability and future impact, the camp is powered by solar energy and back-up generators, is kitted out with low energy appliances and bulbs, and has separate Bio Plants for kitchen, laundry, and the staff village. As there are no permanent fixtures, the campsite can be rehabilitated in under two years.

Six Senses Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe


Tucked away at tree-level on Princess Elizabeth Island, within the UNESCO protected Victoria Falls National Park, this eco-lodge will comprise modular, stilted, wooden structures at bird’s eye level. As the lodge is unfenced, it has been meticulously designed to have the lightest possible footprint while also being strong enough to withstand weather and passing game, like elephants. Six Senses Victoria Falls will also be fabricated off-site to reduce any construction disruption.
Here, opulence meets grandeur with suspended pools and sunset lookout bar to a glorious yoga deck, gym, and even a panoramic sauna. Raised walkways and bridges will connect the lodge as it blends into its surroundings, offering the ultimate treetop escape. A restaurant, lounge, and indulgent spa offer ample spaces to relax, while young explorers can venture onto the very literal jungle gym accompanied by a guide.

Anantara Kafue Tented Camp
Kafue National Park, Zambia


Elevated 3.5 metres (11.4 feet) above the Kafue River, this intimate, luxury retreat offers guests an exclusive escape in one of Zambia’s top destinations. Known to house very few properties, visitors to Kafue seldom encounter other safari vehicles and guests, making it appear as they are the only ones there. With just a handful of spacious tents and even a villa, this luxury camp is likely to offer the same feeling.
Come together in the traditional African boma, relax in the wellness area, and lounge in the pool when not enjoying immersive safari experiences. A focus on eco-friendly construction and a commitment to both sustainability and community empowerment, Kafue Tented Camp aims to be a celebration of the area’s heritage and their exceptional natural surroundings.

Nimali House
Neighbouring Tarangire National Park, Tanzania


Nimali House has its roots set in a beautiful 10,000 acre unfenced private reserve that overlooks the Maasai Steppe. A mere 20 minute charter flight from Arusha, the house is easily accessible but perfectly tranquil. A handful of luxury suites comprise the accommodation portion of this exclusive-use house, perfect for families, groups, and multi-generational travel.
Nimali is all about igniting and elevating the senses until you’re immersed in the very essence of Africa. While exact details for the house are yet to be released, the brand has long been committed to sustainable tourism, reducing environmental impact, and bridging the gap between communities and conservation.

Ereboro Hills
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda


Ereboro Hills, meaning “a place you can see far” is aptly named with sprawling views across the valleys and hills of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This glorious eco-lodge will be primarily constructed of locally sourced bamboo, a known renewable resource to lighten its footprint. Its innovating shape mimics its surroundings to create the most organic looking addition to the landscape.
As part of the project, an impressive reforestation undertaking is underway, with 25,000 indigenous trees being planted. While this will act as a buffer to the park, it also creates accessibility for the local Batwa to preserve their connection to the land. The primary activity here will undoubtedly be gorilla trekking, a truly exceptional experience. A host of delightful walks from the lodge will also be mapped for nearby waterfalls, tours of tea plantations, and excursions to meet the Batwa community.

Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania


Tucked into Tanzania’s highlights on the quieter eastern side of the Ngorongoro Crater, this exclusive lodge enjoys peak access to the crater. Its proximity to the Lemala Gate means a short 10-15 minute drive sees guests in the game dense caldera. Morning and afternoon game drives delight visitors while Maasai guided crater rim walks provide a truly unforgettable adventure.

TAASA Migration Camp
Serengeti National Park, Tanzania


As a mobile offering, the camp will follow migratory herds of the famous Great Wildebeest Migration throughout the year. This family-friendly offering affords guests the opportunity to witness the migration up-close in superlative comfort and luxury. Daily game drives offer river crossings and top spots to view the mega herds, while also spotting other game along the way, including Africa’s iconic Big 5.
Each tented suite offers panoramic views of the surrounding Serengeti with modern amenities such as en-suite bathrooms with on-tap hot water, seating area, Wi-Fi, and room service. At the end of each day, gather around the fire pit and admire the vast night sky adorned with bright stars.

andBeyond Suyian Lodge
Laikipia, Kenya


Settled into an escarpment in the Suyian Conservancy, the lodge finds itself in a true hidden gem destination featuring 100-odd mammal species, as well as various endangered species. With peak architectural finesse, the lodge has been designed to harmonise with its surroundings comprising natural materials and earthy touches. Interesting textures combine with modern finishes to provide a contemporary marvel.

The camp is open seasonally from May to November and actually enjoyed its first mini-season this year from August to November. In 2025, Tsingy Camp will have an extended offering, with several more tents available.

Okavango Delta, Botswana


Located in north-western Botswana, Atzaro Okavango Camp offers an exclusive African safari experience in the heart of the much revered Okavango Delta. Aligning with their commitment to sustainable luxury, a significant portion of the structure incorporates recycled materials, and the entire camp operates on solar power, inviting even the most eco-conscious travellers to indulge.
Walking safaris are available and a great opportunity for up-close viewings, while early morning game drives call out to daybreak enthusiasts who want their safaris served with a breathtaking sunrise. September and October deliver the best predator sightings, but the plains are ripe with game throughout the year and in August you might be lucky enough to spot the endangered African wild dog.

Join the African Bush Camps Foundation for a 10-night safari exploring 4 of their exceptional properties in Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Allow your perception of travel to be expanded by host Koinonia Baloyi, Communications & Fundraising Officer for the Foundation.
Spend time learning about the positive impact projects in each region and even volunteer, knowing a portion of your booking fee will be donated to the foundation projects. In the heart of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, the Twee Rivieren Interpretative Center welcomes all to experience an exhibition showcasing the rich culture of the ǂKhomani and Mier communities, who are the original inhabitants of the land. A stop here makes for a culturally immersive experience for visitors to South Africa’s Kalahari.
The centre aims to give visitors a look into the cultural and natural heritage of the park and its communities. The immersive experience features a body of work of narratives and storylines of the local ǂKhomani people. The centre’s location in the world heritage site, the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, allows visitors to stop over while at the Twee Rivieren Rest Camp.
Take advantage of Kgalagadi’s prime sightings, from the black-maned lion to gemsbok, with game drives and guided walks. Shop the Market Tree where San crafters sell their handcrafted products or explore a wilderness trail by 4X4. Twee Rivieren and Kgalagadi have much to offer.
