A United Airlines flight from LAX to Denver lost a wheel on takeoff Momday Morning, the airline confirmed.
Dozens of people have been injured aboard a United Airlines flight from Africa to the United States, according to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
The airline's Boeing 787-8 flew from Lagos, Nigeria to Washington, D.C. on Thursday and “returned to Lagos after technical issues and unexpected aircraft movement,” United told Fox Business in an email.
After safely landing in Lagos, four passengers and two flight attendants were taken to hospital for minor injuries and later released, the airline said.
A further 27 passengers and five crew members “suffered minor injuries,” Fern said in a statement shared with X.

United Flight 613 was carrying 245 passengers, eight flight attendants, and three pilots at the time of the incident.
The aircraft sustained no “significant damage,” Fern said.
“We are working with aviation authorities in the United States and Nigeria to understand the cause,” United said.

“The public may not know for weeks to a month, but investigators will know within days,” said Jeff, a former accident investigator with the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board. Guzzetti told The New York Times.
“They're going to download the flight data recorder, interview the flight crew and listen to the cockpit audio recorder,” he said.
Earlier this month, Etihad Airways' Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aborted takeoff from Melbourne Airport in Australia due to technical reasons, according to reports.

Etihad Airways flight EY461 from Melbourne to Abu Dhabi begins accelerating on the runway, slamming on the brakes and coming to a stop at around 7pm.
“The flight crew has decided to abort the takeoff for technical reasons. The aircraft has come to a safe stop on the runway and the emergency services in attendance have been suspended as a precaution,” Etihad Airways said in the UAE state newspaper The National told.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that passengers on the plane said two tires burst after the landing gear caught fire.
