Traveling with small things can be stressful. However, new research has revealed that UK families may not need to divide hundreds or thousands for overseas holiday packages to entertain their children.
A new study found that UK theme parks are the most “boring” destinations in the world. Attraction ticket experts have analyzed hundreds of thousands of reviews from over 160 global destinations, finding spots where parents said their children “love it” and finding boring places.
Spots are ranked, with 70% of the top 10 being theme parks, indicating that kids actually prefer theme park holidays over other types of holidays. Perhaps surprising, it was Blackpool's Pleasure Beach that appeared alongside Disney World and Universal Orlando. And it not only made the top three, it actually ranked the best.
Each destination was given a “Boying Vanish Score” out of 35, and Blackpool Pleasure Beach managed to get an impressive 31.3.
Oliver Brendon, CEO of Attraction Ticket, said: “Today, it's more difficult than ever to entertain kids on vacation. Many kids are used to the instant gratification of iPad games and interactive TV shows, and often not enough to attract attention, such as lounges at the pool or playing on the beach.”
He noted that Blackpool Pleasure Beach offers “high levels of interactivity and imagination.”
