TUI is a popular airline among UK holiday makers as it offers flight-only transactions along with packaged vacations.

The airline operates from more than 20 airports in the UK and is convenient for over 100 destinations around the world, including Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and North America. If you book a flight with TUI this year, it is important to be aware of the hand luggage rules before you go.

According to Tui's luggage policy, passengers are allowed to take one piece of baggage per person – except for babies. This bag can weigh up to 10kg and must be less than 55 x 40 x 20cm and must be stored in the seat in front of you.

Passengers can also carry small personal items such as laptop bags and handbags, with a maximum dimension of 40 x 30 x 20cm. If you have just booked a flight, not a package holiday, the same hand luggage rules apply.

Tui explains: “If you're just booking a TUI Airways flight, all adults and children aged 2 and above can take free photos of one baggage in the cabin. Each baggage weighs up to 10kg, with a maximum dimension of 55x40x20cm.

“In addition to one piece of baggage, you can bring one small personal item with you, including a laptop bag, a backpack, or a handbag that is small enough to fit under the seat in front of you, which is 40x30x20cm in size.

“You must be able to lift your baggage into the overhead storage compartment yourself. Children under the age of 2 don't have baggage allowance.”

If the bag is larger than the size of your baggage allowance, you will need to check in. TUI allows passengers under the age of 2 to 10kg bags per person.

If you are flying on a TUI Airways flight, all items come with 25kg of luggage on your next holiday.

However, if you arrive at the airport with luggage exceeding your allowance, these charges may vary depending on the season of your travels.

    TUI states:

Short and mid-flight (less than 7 hours) – 14 pounds per additional kiloron hole flight (over 7 hours) – 18 pounds per additional kg

For bookings only for flights that do not include check-in baggage allowance:

Short and mid-flight (less than 7 hours): 55 pounds per 15kg bag*, 14 pounds per extra kilo (over 7 hours): 75 pounds per 15kg, 18 pounds per extra kilo. ”
