As the travel industry undergoes a remarkable resurgence, Travel News is evolving to keep up with the new energy and opportunities within the industry. In response to growing demand for dynamic content, the travel industry luxury publication has appointed a senior editor to expand its offering and grow its flagship product.

“During the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Travel News has temporarily suspended its functionality to focus on delivering important updates,” said Linda van der, Sales Director at Now Media. Mr. Pol says. “With our industry currently thriving like never before, feature sales are soaring, prompting us to expand our editorial team to ensure Travel News continues to meet the needs of our readers and advertisers. At the same time, we've seen great growth and engagement with our online products.”

Kate Nathan, who has led Travel News professionally as editor since 2020, will move into the role of full-time features editor. Having steered the publication through some of the industry's most turbulent times, Kate will now focus on expanding our feature sections, delivering dynamic, reader-focused content, and creating innovative promotional opportunities for advertisers. I'm going.

Sue Van Winsen returns to the team and takes over the role of editor of Travel News' daily news mailer. With over 10 years of experience at Now Media, Sue was Features Editor for Travel News during her print days. She also led Now Media's inbound tourism publication, SA Tourism Update, for many years. Sue's extensive industry knowledge and editorial expertise make her the ideal leader to lead a team of journalists who keep travel agents informed and timely with important daily news that stays ahead of the curve. It has become. Sue's role also includes serving as editor of Travelinfo Plus, bringing exciting new features to the industry's most trusted directory website, including alerts, visa information and city guides.

Kate and Sue will work closely with Natasha Schmidt, who was recently appointed Editorial Director at Now Media. Natasha will work with the team to set the vision and direction for Travel News, aligning our content strategy with the evolving needs of our readers and advertisers.

Together, the trio will ensure Travel News remains innovative, relevant and committed to delivering quality journalism. Anton Marsh, Managing Director of Now Media, said: “The management team collectively has over 45 years of experience, ensuring a wealth of expertise to drive our next phase of growth.” “These changes mark an exciting new chapter for Travel News and Now Media as a whole. The recovery in the travel industry presents incredible opportunities, and we are committed to staying at the forefront of innovation to seize them. We are working hard to expand our editorial team. By enhancing our products, we are not only responding to the market, but also advancing it. We are excited to see our outbound travel product evolve and this great team is helping us grow. I am confident that he will continue to lead the way in delivering value to our readers and partners.”
