As announced in July 2024, the beloved table Bay Hotel, the landmark of Cape Town hospitality landscape, is preparing for an exciting new chapter. The hotel will officially close the door in February 2025 and start a comprehensive R100 million renovation.

This change not only refreshes the property, but also introduces Intercontinental Table Bakeup Town as a new hotel in the hotel when it resumes in the second half of this year. The brand change indicates the first existence of the Cape Town intercontinental brand and shows a new era of luxurious accommodations at the V & A Waterfront.

    What do you expect

The renovation promises to enhance all aspects of guest experience while maintaining the symbolic property heritage. Important upgrades include:

In addition, there are 45 guest suite, increasing the count of the room to 306. New elevated pool bar and terrace with panoramic views. A world -class spa that complements luxurious products. Conductive club floor and lounge for Intercontinental guests. The improved dining space and the reception area designed to be impressive.

    Continue the heritage

Under the management of Sun International, the table bay hotel has long been a symbol of outstanding, and this partnership with the Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) makes it even higher. When resumed, the guests benefit from the famous IHG service quality and the IHG One Rewards Loyalty program.

    Temporary closure

Guests and patrons recall that the hotel will stop operations in February 2025 to enable these large -scale upgrades. Temporary closure may be adjusted, but this investment guarantees that the Table Bay Hotel will be at the forefront of gorgeous hospitality for the next year.

Please look forward to the latest information on the progress of this exciting change, and prepare to experience the re -imagined intercontinental table cape town when you restart in the second half of this year.
