TAAG Angola Airlines has delivered the first Boeing 787-9 Dream Liner as part of the fleet modernization efforts. The fuel -efficient wide -body aircraft lined by AERCAP arrived in Luanda just before the celebration of Angola's release day. This milestone has been nearly 50 years since the airline acquired the first Boeing Aircraft. This delivery is also a plan to debut a new coloring of TAAG, set an expanded long -range network, and start additional routes to new destinations in Asia and North America.

The 787 Dream Liner is the basis of TAAG Angola Airlines strategy to strengthen fleet while reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions up to 25 %. CEO Nelson Pedro Rodrigues de Oliveira called the “extremely important steps” when this delivery was addressed to growing market demand and replacing the aging wide body fleet of airline. The introduction of 787, which operates 737 and 777 on 12 destinations in Africa, Europe, South America, and China, enhances the TAAG region and international connection. With the cooperation of Boeing, TAAG has used sustainable air fuel (SAF) to enhance sustainable efforts to reflect a widespread industry commitment to environmentally friendly aviation.
