In the business events sector, SA Tourism has so far won 53 bids for international events in the 2024/25 financial year (1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025). These events are expected to generate R616 million for the economy and attract more than 24 000 participants from 2024 to 2029, strengthening South Africa's position as a leading destination for global conferences and events. further strengthen its position.
