On the evening of January 29, it was reported that the PSA Airlines Jet and the Shikorsky H-60 helicopter collided on a flight near the Ronal Dragan Washington National Airport, and both aircraft dropped CRASH.
The PSA MHIRJ CRJ700 operated 5342 flights from American Airlines Wichita, said the Federal Aviation Bureau.
“The PSA Air Company … CRJ700 Regional Jet collided with Sikorsky H-60 helicopter in the air while approaching the runway 33 at Reagan Washington National Airport around 9:00 pm,” FAA says.
American Airlines, which owns PSA, has added to Flightglobal that “I know that American Eagle Flight 5342 is involved in the case” and provide updates when it is available.
Local media reports large -scale rescue activities.
The video distributed in social media seems to indicate the case.
This video shows the light of an aircraft approaching to land in Reagan National. The aircraft is hit by another aircraft. It looks like one or both aircraft will plummet.
The airport said on a social media that the Ronal Dragan Washington National Airport was closed for “all takeoff and landing” around 21:00.
PSA's CRJ700 is composed of 65 passengers.
