Peru has expanded the National Covid-19 emergency and ban on travel from Brazil, South Africa and the UK.
Key Points:
Authorities extended the national emergency until April 30th. Most states maintain “very high” or “extreme” alerts, and most of the Lima area is full with “very high”. Domestic travel curfews and restrictions remain in effect in most of the country. For more information, please click here. Non-resident foreigners traveling from Brazil, South Africa or the UK will not be permitted to enter Peru until at least April 11th. The ban does not apply to Peruvian citizens or residents, but applies to foreigners who have invaded any of the three countries in the past 14 days or otherwise attended. Flights from other countries are permitted in accordance with the Ministry of Transport and Communications Regulation.
