Passengers on a cruise ship warn about the sneaky meaning behind the mysterious sign | Travel News | Travel

A cruise enthusiast sheds light on a secret symbol that shows surprising facts about passengers used on cruise ships.

In an Instagram video shared by @Travelers_411, men are taking a walk in the corridor of a cruise ship, scanning the room door, and looking for a specific symbol, pineapple.

“I'm looking for a pineapple on the door, because they are swapping,” he said.

According to his explanation, passengers often decorate the doors, and if they find a pineapple, they are signs of people who have sexual relationships with others for fun other than swapping.

After passing a number of huts, he finally found a door with a backward pineapple sticker stating, “It will shake when pushed.”

The man joked, “I'm going to enter because I drank alcohol,” and knocked on the door and ended the video.

In the follow -up video, Mirror reports that he has a pineapple sticker and is trying to put it on a random door.

“Every cruise has a swinger community,” he asserts.

One follower responded, “I like cruises.”

Another said, “When I was on the cruise, I always turned the pineapple over.”

The TikTok account of the same name has recorded several millions of views, and one video has been watched more than 9 million times. In November 2024, Carnival Cruise Line, the world's largest cruise company, banned the use of secret symbols on its own ship.

The brand's ambassador, John Hield, mentioned this issue in Facebook discussions on the cruise industry.

In response to passengers complaints that there were few events for singles, Heed asked followers how they met with their lovers during the cruise.

According to Ladbible, one Facebook user suggested that “upside down the pineapple is effective.”

Thanks to this comment, “Thank you for mentioning. These are absolutely banned on board and will be removed from the cabin door. Remember to mention that. Thank you for me. “

Some users predicted that the “pineapple” would only use a new symbol, and suggested the use of other symbols.

However, some people welcomed the symbols of the symbol on the door by others.

Some cruises advertise themselves as “spicy.” For example, the topless options, hot spots for clothes, a playroom exclusively for couples, workshops, a theme -specific pool party, and a templation cruise cruise that offers theme nights.
