There is one rule that often confuses passengers who purchase controversial drink packages. Joining a cruise is a popular option on holidays, as travelers can visit multiple locations and enjoy the boat between stops. The Carnival Cruise Line is one of the most popular options, but its cheers! The drink package led to confused passengers.
This package allows passengers to pay daily for all comprehensive drinks, including alcohol. Passengers do not have to pay for drinks as this option is easy and convenient for cruisers.
However, there are several rules for the package, depending on where you start your cruise.
This is where passengers often run into problems and struggle to understand the rules.
Guests who sail along with the Carnival from US ports in New York, Norfolk (Virginia) or Texas are unable to use cheers! The first 24-hour package of the cruise.
Travelers shared their frustration on Facebook, and Lloyd Deeks said:
Another replied: “You can get alcohol on the first day, you only pay it, you will not be charged on the first day.”
Pat Lumpkin adds: “The drink package will be billed by the day you can actually use it.
The confusion in the drink packaging is being addressed by Carnival's official brand ambassador John Herald.
John said:
“It's against their laws, they asked not to do a drink program on the first day, so you can only use it on the second day.”
This means that passengers with drink packages must pay their drinks individually on the first day, and the package starts on the second day.
The package starts at £63.69 and includes all spirits, beer and wine in a glass. Also, passengers should note that not all drinks are included in the package.
