Mozambican boutique hotel group Azura Retreats has announced the opening of its newest property, Azura Marlin Beach, in May 2025. The resort is located on the southwest coast of Benguela Island in the Bazaruto Islands and is built on former grounds. Marlin Lodge was destroyed by fire in 2012. The new luxury retreat will feature 10 air-conditioned villas, including six. A 100 sqm beach villa, 3 large beach villas Grande for families and the expansive 380 sqm Villa Vista with its own private pool.
Azzurra Marlin Beach's main lodge features a restaurant, lounge bar, swimming pool, relaxation area and PADI 5 Star Diving Center. Enjoy a wide range of activities including snorkeling and diving at Two Mile Reef, dhow sailing, deep sea fishing and beach picnics. Visitors can also take advantage of the spa on nearby Azura Benguela Island, adding to the appeal of this luxurious destination.
