    LUFTHANSA Group has been strengthening efforts to integrate new members ITA Airways, starting with frequent fusion of flyer programs.

    Growing relationships include Frankhansa's Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Vienna, and Brussels' flights to more optimize the flight schedule.

    On the cargo side, with the first joint offer for cargo customers who are online in the summer, cooperation is “quickly strengthened”.

    CARSTEN SPOHR, Lufthansa's highest executive officer, states that the airline group is convinced that the ITA will “achieve profits early this year.”

    LUFTHANSA has been acquiring the ITA last month following the increase of 325 million euros ($ 334 million) by the Italian economy and the Ministry of Finance, which retained 59 % of ITA shares. The remaining 41 % of the shares have been moved to the Lufthan The Group.

    ITA has recently announced that he will leave SkyTeam Alliance in support of his rival Star Alliance.
