Yesterday (January 28, 2025), the official countdown for the 2025 meeting of the 2025 Africa was officially started. It took less than a month, but an excitement building was held on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). This event, sponsored by the South Africa Tourism Bureau, will be held from February 24 to 26, 2025 at Johannesburg, Johannesburg, in cooperation with the Gorten Tourism Bureau, Johannesburg Tourism Company, and the Sandton Convention Center.

The 2025 edition of the conference Africa maintains more importance not only for South Africa but also for the African continent. In November 2025, confirm that the G20 Summit will be held for the first time on the African continent.

Meeting African panels have opened some statistics on how important the tourist sector and hospitality sector is for South Africa. Some of the statistics shared with the media in the room were as follows:

The 2024 edition of the Meetings Africa event has a direct economic impact of 145 million locks, has an indirect effect of 275 million locks, and has contributed to the South African economy 420 million locks. I did. The 2023 edition of the conference African event donated 388.5 million lands to the South African economy, directly in the Economic, directly in the Economic in the 1339 million locks. The 2025 edition of the Meeting African event is the 19th year when the event was held, and it is absolutely important to support meetings, incentives, meetings, and exhibition industries (MICE) throughout the continent. There are more than 40 countries that have already been confirmed by registrants

Honor Patricia de Reel, Minister of Tourism in South Africa, emphasized the role of African business events, business owners, and international buyers and partners influenced by the government. Her keynote speech pointed out that

“Meetings AFRICA 2025 aims to continue to focus on spotlighting a variety of destinations and business events in Africa by unleashing Africa opportunities through high -quality connections. Focusing on business transactions, knowledge sharing, and partnership platforms across sector, it focuses on enabling meaningful networking opportunities to support the growth of the industry.

Murungishi Mabaso, the mayor of T6HE Johannesburg, echoed these ideas:

“As a thousand Halos cities, we are the center of the heartbeat of business connection between South Africa and continent. Meeting Africa -like events not only attract visitors to our coast, but also create employment. We will help our cities and national residents by enhancing the economy of the town and enhancing a certain reputation as the best business hub on the continent.

A panel discussion featuring leaders in major industries, including Nombulelo Guliwe, a CEO of South Africa tourism during the media launch event. Barba GaoganediWe, Head: Communication and communication with the destination marketing at Gauteng Tourism Authoris. CEO of a tourist company, Rick Taylor. Girenton de Cock is the CEO of the South African Association (SAACI), and the Director (STEA) of the Gwen Nuccub: Small Tourism Enterprise Association (STEA) uses the power of business events. Focused on importance. The entire African continent.

Tourism News Africa's senior media correspondent Christmidries, after the media briefing, became known in the political world of South Africa, so we caught up with the Minister of Tourism, the honor of Patricia Dalil, or the aunt Pat. I was able to interview. The minister revealed that the time of action came, not just to keep talking about what we wanted to do.

“We must go there and sell our country more aggressively!”

Please listen to the following complete interview:

The Conference Africa 2025 promotes comprehensive economic growth, promoting the connection between the public and the private sector, and promises to support the creation of high -quality connections, but the Minister himself is the country. Share the promises on the continent.
