Israeli leisure airline Arkia has indicated it will use Airbus A330neo twin jets for a new service between Tel Aviv and New York JFK.
The airline has listed a series of flights on this route, which will be operated by chartered aircraft.
Arkia identified the type of aircraft as an A330-900, but did not specify the source of the jet.
The first flights will begin on February 8th and will operate for several weeks, according to the airline's booking engine.
“New York is a city with tremendous influence on global culture, media, and economics,” the magazine said. “We have a lot of attractions and places that are known all over the world.”
Arkia's fleet consists of single-aisle types such as the Airbus A321LR and Embraer 195.
The disclosure follows efforts by a group of high-tech companies to establish an alternative air transport link between Tel Aviv and New York under the brand name TechAir.
The project was intended to provide seasonal service between Israel and the United States using chartered wide-body aircraft in response to the lack of available flights and high fares.
While it was hinted late last year that wet-lease Boeing 777s would be used, the latest update from the group says TechAir will use A330-900s operated by the Israeli company to fly to Tel Aviv Airport. It is said that it will go into service. JFK route.
