The Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA), the official tourism marketing agency for the Gauteng City Region, will be conducting national and regional tourism promotion activities in Mahikeng, North West this weekend from 6 to 8 December 2024, bringing the Golden Province to the forefront. Introducing the best products. A festival summer and beyond. The showcase will take place at the Mahika Mahikeng Cultural and Music Festival, which opens this weekend at Mmabato Stadium.

Dubbed “Golden Summer Ena Rant e Gauteng”, the campaign aims to drive conversions, sales and staycation bookings across Gauteng’s five regions while ensuring that the campaign remains relevant and relevant this holiday season. We aim to raise awareness of Gauteng's hundreds of golden attractions, experiences and products. .

The authority, in collaboration with marketing partners Gautrain and Proudly SA, will take advantage of the opportunity to showcase its offerings for children and families, including waterways, amusement parks, quality heritage sites and township tourism, including Kashi, among others. is.
This festive summer covers community gaming and culinary experiences, golden shopping offerings for both individuals and businesses across borders, alcohol consumption and trading, gambling, tourism, spending, safety for children, visitors and residents. Signature events held in the state (Chris Brown, Kaytranada, TEMS, Test Match Cricket, SA 20, Ivercup etc.), where and how to celebrate Golden Christmas and New Year in Gauteng.

I am delighted that domestic tourism expenditure has increased to a staggering R5.9 billion, with overnight stays increasing by a staggering 11.2 nights by the end of Q2 2024, the highest of all states. We are encouraged, but we remain determined to halt the decline. Lebogang Maile, Gauteng MEC for Finance and Economic Development, said he is active in domestic holidays and overnight travel in general, and this aggressive campaign strengthens that resolve.

Golden Summer ena'Lanto eGauteng comes from the popular phrase “Lanto”, which literally means “that thing”, zee. This phrase is used to describe the conviviality, atmosphere, culture and enthusiasm that distinguish Gauteng. A culture like no other, a landscape like no other, a wildlife like no other, a food like no other, a music like no other, and a world-class sport and city like no other. Celebrations are deeply rooted in the people and the soil itself.

This December is Golden Summer ena'Lanto eGauteng. Because whether it's tranquility and relaxation, fun and exploration, Ekashi in Chila with camp chairs and coolers, a world-class musical experience or the sound of authentic Amapiano, Gauteng is where it takes place and the perfect place. Because it's where I'm staying. A place with a great atmosphere. Golden – It's gold, a color synonymous with our premium quality guarantee standards, first place and pole position, ultimate price and medals, millions of residents and citizens.

In Mahikeng, GAUTENG's showcase and promotional activities will include direct interaction and promotions at Megacity Mall on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 12:00 to 15:00. It also includes another mall, Blitz, a market access platform for some of the state's leading township clothing brands. It will be held at the new Mahikén Mall on Saturday, December 7th, and the final consumer interface will be held at the Mahika Mahikén Jazz Festival on Sunday, December 8th, 2024.

At the end of the showcase, more tickets will be sold for experiences in Gauteng, including next weekend's historic Chris Brown concert at FNB Stadium, bringing even more people and visitors to the amusement park and cultural heritage site. Families entered and Gauteng's suburban Gautrain was generally a safe, responsible and highly profitable summer of festivals, concluded Gauteng Tourism CEO Sze Dlamini.
