    Explore California's Tri-Valley's rich arts and culture scene

    Located 30 miles east of San Francisco in the Mount Diablo region, Northern California's Tri-Valley region and the cities of Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, and Danville have a vibrant arts and culture scene featuring a variety of art. Galleries, interactive museums, cultural celebrations, spectacular theaters, and diverse experiences.

    Bankhead Theater is easily the largest venue in the Tri-Valley, boasting 507 seats and showcasing exceptional musical, dance, and live stage performances year-round. Located in the heart of downtown Livermore near a variety of restaurants, shops, cafes, and lounges, Bankhead Theater is also a hub for community events and cultural celebrations such as the Livermore Innovation Fair, Native American Day, and Diwali.

    The Black Hawk Museum is widely known for its extensive classic car gallery, housing a rotating collection of 90 rare, unique, and historically significant automobiles. However, there are also four additional galleries highlighting different cultures and wildlife from around the world.
    Visitors are welcome to enroll in each of the five galleries, including the nationally acclaimed Spirit of the Old West, Chinese and African Art, the Natural World, and the popular Classic Car Collection. The museum also hosts a variety of events, including glass and car shows and educational events.
    Shakespeare in the Vineyard

    Visitors to the Tri-Valley have a unique opportunity to enjoy a Shakespearean performance under the stars. Each summer, Shakespeare's Performing Arts Regional Company produces live outdoor performances at Livermore Valley Winery. Shakespeare on the Vineyard, formerly known as the Livermore Shakespeare Festival, has been named Best Live Performance by the East Bay Times three years in a row: 2018, 2019, and 2020.

    More than 20 large murals painted by local artists adorn the walls of businesses and buildings in downtown Livermore and the surrounding area. Some of these pops of color are easily spotted from major roads, while others remain hidden in less trafficked areas. Visitors are encouraged to check out this stunning display of public art and pose with these fascinating pieces.

    Firehouse Arts Center

    The Harrington Gallery also includes a 221-seat theater and an 1,800-square-foot classroom. Located in the heart of downtown Pleasanton, Harrington Gallery presents seven group exhibitions a year, highlighting the work of both established local and regional artists working in a variety of styles, genres, and themes.

    The Tri-Valley is a melting pot of diverse cultures and ethnicities, with a variety of cultural celebrations. Some events include Dublin's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival, which attracts thousands of people each year. , the popular Scottish games held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds and downtown Livermore's Native American Day celebration in front of the Bankhead Theater.
