Namibia's Ministry of Environment and Tourism have delivered two new trucks to Etosha National Park, strengthening anti-surveillance operations and improving infrastructure management. Vehicles – Mercedes-Benz Dropside Truck and Power Star Water Tank Truck – are raised for N$7 million through the Game Product Trust Fund and support patrols, road and fence repairs, fire creation and general park maintenance costs.

During the handover ceremony, Environment Minister Indirenni Daniel highlighted the key role of trucks in preserving Etosha and maintaining tourism infrastructure. Water tankers help with anti-poaching patrols by supplying important resources to remote locations, while dropside trucks are used for logistics and maintenance. Vehicles may be deployed to support other national parks and protected areas around the country. Staff are required to ensure that vehicles are used responsibly to protect park assets and increase long-term sustainability.
