Emirates will increase its flights to Madagascar from four to six times a week from April 2, 2025. The enhanced schedule, which will fly every day except Monday, connects Dubai and Antananarivo via Mahe Island, meeting the growing demand for travel between the UAE and Madagascar. The move is in line with Madagascar's tourism ambitions and aims to strengthen economic ties with the UAE by improving air connectivity.
The additional flights will highlight Madagascar's rich biodiversity and UNESCO World Heritage Sites and support Madagascar's efforts to attract one million tourists a year by 2028. In addition to promoting tourism, the route expansion will increase cargo capacity by 20 tonnes per flight and open up more trade opportunities. With connectivity to more than 140 global destinations through Emirates' network, Madagascar's key outbound travel markets including France, UAE, Seychelles and Japan are expected to benefit from enhanced air links .
