EFIS Maroc, a subsidiary of ECS Group, has announced a strategic partnership with China Eastern Airlines to operate three weekly cargo flights between Casablanca, Morocco and Shanghai, China.
The flight will be operated by a Boeing 787-900 aircraft with a cargo capacity of 18 tonnes and is designed to support the automotive industry ensuring timely and safe transportation of high-value parts between the two countries.
Jean Ceccardi, CEO of ECS Group, described the partnership as an “important milestone” and said: “We will combine regional expertise and innovative tools to improve the efficiency and reliability of freight logistics. “This will redefine the standards of the world,” he said.
This cooperation will also strengthen Morocco's geographic footprint as a gateway to Africa and contribute to promoting trade relations and economic growth between the two regions.
This will also enable EFIS Maroc to leverage ECS Group's global network and digital tools. By combining Squair, ECS Group's custom reporting optimization solution, with CargoAi's advanced digital reservation platform, operations will be streamlined and EFIS Maroc will provide China Eastern with a customized cargo management solution.
The partnership is also in line with China Eastern's plans to expand its presence in Africa. Late last year, we renewed our codeshare agreement with Kenya Airways, allowing passengers from both airlines to enjoy access to a wide range of destinations on both continents.
