The ancient port city Essa Wila, known as the “African wind city”, is located west of Morocco along the Atlantic coast. Until the 1960s, a well -known town was known as Mogador, the name of Portugal.

And you may have never heard of Essa Wila, but you may recognize the wall of the 18th century Scala de Lavil. They played the role of Astapore as the lead of the game of thrones. In real life, these lamps protected the medina from the crashed Atlantic waves, protecting 19 bronze cannons from many looted sailors.

Today is a peaceful place for adventure -loving tourists to see the sea view and the main sunset.

The large sandy beach in the city attracts many wind surfers between April and November, and the size is ideal for walking and cable surfing, but sunbathing and swimming may be difficult when the wind is strong.

Most of the visitors walk around not only the beach, but also the scented lane and the enhanced Medina's palms.

So they read a lot of art galleries and boutiques, relaxed in the best hotels in Japan, repaired fishing nets, and found that traditional boats were built in the air port. You can do it.

The dramatic, covered wall, narrow streets, a swing, street vendor, gallery, and a medina gallery surrounded by the wall of the Essa Wiler is the best place to take a walk.

As in the late 18th century to 2001, it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List, and recently used in the 1951 movie Othello opening scene and recently Game of Thrones.

The large -scale work port in the town is noisy, exciting and very atmosphere. You can see the gust of the blue wooden boat of the sea that arrives and departs, the repaired net, and the catch of the day land and the traditional wooden boat is made.

The boat builder supplies fishing boats as a whole on the entire Morocco coast, as far as France. It is also worth visiting a fish auction at the market hall just outside the port gate.

Immediately on the coast, there are actually two islands and some small islands, Il de Mogador. They are also known as the ancient Ils of Ils (purple islands). The Romans dyed the Empire's toga using purple dyes extracted from soft animals picked from the bay.

An uninhabited island is a protected sanctuary of the Falcon of Eleonora, and can be easily seen through the binoculars of Essa Wila Beach. You cannot land on the island without special permission.

Another attraction to see is Simon Atius Scinegog, a 19th -century synagogue filled with the fragrance of a savory cedar tree.

In the main patio room, there is an attractive exhibition that covers all aspects of Essa Waira's Jewish culture from clothing to religious crafts, and the Sidimohamed Bendela Museum has local jewelry, costumes, embroidery. There is a small collection of wood carving and weapons.

A British vacation company looking for a cheap flight to the sun in the winter can fly directly to Esao Wayla (ESU), relying on budgeted airlines, Ryan Air and Easy.

The cheapest price for a single -directional ticket from London to Essa Wailla is £ 38. The round -trip fare is at least 70 pounds and at most 261 pounds. Travelers usually depart from Heathrow, Gatwick, London Stansted, Routon, or London City when traveling from London.

Flying between London (STN) and ESSAOUIRA (ESU) usually takes about 3 hours and 13 minutes. Every week, there are two direct flights between London and Essa.
