Perhaps the most insignificant thing, probably the most insignificant thing of Iowa's winter, was a fatal mistake that rock and roll pioneer buddy holly, rich ballence, and JP “Big Bopper” Richardson would ride a single engine airplane. Sometimes it happened nearly 66 years ago to Fargo, North Dakota during the snowstorm.
A few hours after the winter dance party tour show in the clear -lake surf ballroom, the trio and the pilot Roger Peterson immediately on February 3, 1959, the airplane was immediately immunized by a clear lake. I died when I dropped CRASH, and now I remember it as the day when music died.
However, you cannot kill rock and roll, and the Burlington has been invited to celebrate music and memories this week.
The Capitol Theater and Bart Howard Society are holding Johnidi Rojars and his “Baddy & Beyond: Rock and Roll History” concert at 7 pm on Wednesday. The ticket is $ 25.
