For the first time in its history, Air France has launched its signature home fragrance, AF001. To create this fragrance, the airline called upon the talents of Francis Kurkdjian, master perfumer and artistic director of Maison Francis Kurkdjian. This is another opportunity for Air France to showcase the excellence of French expertise to the world.
Starting in January 2025, this home fragrance will be gradually introduced at the entrances of selected Air France lounges at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, as a welcome gesture to start your journey. Guests can enjoy this fragrance in the lobby, lounge and La Premiere Suite, as well as in the lounges located in Halls L and M, 2F and 2G of Terminal 2E. Air France plans to gradually roll out the fragrance in Paris and other lounges around the world over the coming months.
Evoking a sense of space, tranquility and lightness, AF001 transports travelers in style. The pleasant scent of musk is combined with mimosa from the south of France, giving it a sunny, natural vibrancy. Its delicate floral aura, created with the scent of jasmine and rose, takes travelers on a true fragrant journey and captures a specific moment.
AF001, the first journey is scent
The name AF001, a nod to the legendary Concorde flight between New York and Paris in the late 1970s, immediately brings to mind the world of Air France and its unique code for air travel. It also reminds travelers of their first trip.
“We are very proud to have developed Air France's first signature home fragrance,” said Francis Kurkdjian. “The fantasy of a ray of sunlight hitting the wing of an airplane inspired me to create this light, fresh and soothing home fragrance.”
“The Air France travel experience is a journey that uplifts all five senses, from the sight of the staff's haute couture uniforms, the cabin interiors and the meticulous design of the lounges, to the taste of the delicious dishes on the in-flight menu, to the touch of the soft fabrics. ” added Fabien Pérousse, Senior Vice President Customer Experience at Air France.
The result of more than two years of research, this fragrance reveals an additional sensory experience that strengthens the company's identity. This is the first part of a journey that celebrates the French art of living in its entirety.
