We all love jetting off into the sun, but it's no secret that traveling can be stressful.
From packing to lines to potential delays, there's always something that makes us worry. Another thing that makes the experience even more boring is the thought of being squeezed into a tiny seat for a long time.
But some travel experts say it could be the best. According to @skyscanner on TikTok, there may be a trick to ensuring you always get a seat alone on a plane.
In the clip, the content creators say: “One of the best things about flying is when the seat next to you is empty. Today we're testing travel hacks to maximize that chance. That's why this hack works.” On a three-row airplane.
“What you do is pre-book window and aisle seats online and leave the middle seat free. No one is going to pre-book the middle seat, and even if they did, “We can still sit next to each other. We just have to swap seats.” ”
They decided to see if the hack would work, and the results were impressive. They tested the trick on two separate flights and admitted they were “very lucky” as it worked on the first trip.
The two of them managed to hog the row, giving them plenty of leg room. Unfortunately, I didn't have the same luck on my second flight, but I still managed to sit next to them.
They acknowledged that the outcome of the hack could be 50-50, but seemed to think it was worth a try. But they said if that didn't work out, the worst-case scenario would be sitting next to the person you're traveling with.
Since being shared, the video has been viewed more than 9,000 times and received comments from several people. They had different thoughts on this idea.
One said: “We did this and even though the back three rows were empty, someone still had reserved a seat between us.” Another wrote: “I would sit in the middle and annoy them.”
But others talked about success, with one person replying, “I always do that.” Meanwhile, a fourth person commented: “I like this because worst case scenario, the person in the middle doesn't want to be replaced and they still have a close relationship.”
But some in the discussion said they didn't think it would necessarily work, and others thought it could come across as imprudent. It was also suggested that some airlines do not allow it.
Nevertheless, many influencers are trying this online, and some are experiencing success. This trick has worked for many people.
