Low-cost carrier Vietjet has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) covering up to 150 A321Neos' planned new commitments.
The agreement was signed at today's Paris Air Show and demonstrates further commitment to Airbus aircraft from Vietnamese airlines.
Vietjet already runs the A321neos and, following previous orders of 120 of that type, doubled the commitment of the A330-900 last month. The carrier also has orders for the Boeing 737 Max Jet.
Vietjet Chairman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao said: “These modern and efficient aircraft are contributing to the growth of Vietjet, enhancing their role as connectors for economic development, cultural exchange and global connections, making air travel for millions more accessible and affordable.
“This groundbreaking agreement represents a key step in Vietjet's growth strategy as a multinational aviation group.”
