Zambia Airlines has announced the launch of a direct flight between Lusaka and Harare, and is scheduled to begin operations on June 17, 2025. The new service will offer three flights per week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, expanding the airline's regional network and increasing connectivity between Zambia and Zimbab.
According to CEO Thomas Gebreyohannes Woldesenbet, the route aims to boost trade, tourism and cross-border collaboration between the two capitals. Additional links support regional integration efforts and provide greater access to both countries' cultural and natural appeal. Zambia Airways currently operates regional services in Johannesburg, Dar es Salaam and Nairobi, along with domestic routes such as Ndola, Livingstone, Lusaka and Solwezi.
