(NASDAQ: XTIA) pioneering VTOL and Powered-Lift Aircraft Solutions today announced the launch of the Innovation Lab within the XTI Aerospace Prototyping and Innovation Lab hive. Grand Forks, North Dakota. The Hive is a unique hybrid business accelerator and incubator focusing on vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) and unmanned aerial vehicle systems (UAS).
The new lab is designed to accelerate the development of XTI's flagship powerlift aircraft, the Trifan 600. This will initially focus on the advancement of the subscale model, “Sparrow,” codenamed “Sparrow,” and advance towards the construction of a more advanced model, “Kestrel.” Under the guidance of a professor Robert LuneyVTOL systems experts and aerospace professors University of North Dakotateams work to optimize aircraft performance capabilities and develop cutting-edge flight control centers. Professor Lunnie has brought together a highly skilled team dedicated to developing subscale models for XTI.
XTI Aerospace expects the new lab not only to enhance the design and flight capabilities of the Trifan 600, but also to contribute to wider advances in aviation technology.
