A woman exploring to find the UK's most picturesque spots recently lit up the spotlight at Cornish Beach, supporting Cornwall's reputation for breathtaking coasts and natural beauty that attracts visitors from afar.
With its dramatic coastline, idyllic beaches and vibrant surfing scenes, Cornwall is Britain's beloved holiday spot, not to mention landmarks like the Eden Project and Tintagel Castle. During the summer, British people enjoy a day at the beach with their partners, family or friends, and Cornwall offers a lot.
Cotswold travel blogger Lizzie Parkin took her to Tiktok to share her adventures exploring one of Cornwall's coastal gems. She started by saying: “I'm on a mission to find places all over the UK. I'm going to make people say, 'I can't believe this is UK.'
Lizzie continued: “The gems on this beach look straight from Mallorca and Ibiza when you ask me, but the water is a little cold.” She also emphasized that the beach is “on the most beautiful coastal roads,” but warned that the climb was somewhat challenging and would advise potential visitors to pay attention, including a “short scramble” to reach the sand.
Travel fans described the panoramic view as “absolutely unrealistic” while walking to the coastline, revealing that this hidden gem is known as Pedn Vounder Beach, located near the Cornish village of Trien. The Pedn Vounder is set in the cliffs of Treryn Dinas and boasts untouched turquoise waters and white sand.
According to Cornwall Beach, it is also recognized as West Cornwall's most famous naturalist destination, but Lizzie has registered a sign in the comments section of Tiktok's video to make it clear that she is hardly a nude beach. Cornwall Beach explains that the pedon bounder sits at the eastern edge of the bay. While it forms the Porturno cove, the headland houses Logan Rock to the east.
Lizzy's Tiktok footage features Splendor from Pedn Vounder Beach, attracting 412,000 views, 45,000 likes and over 200 comments as of writing. One viewer declared: “Pedn Vounder is the best beach in the UK.
“I took a breath when I first saw it recently. It's as good as the beach anywhere in the world!” another person said: “Just coming back from Thailand, the Pedn Vounder was just as beautiful.”
The third states: “I can't believe this is the UK!!” The fourth added: “Okay, but I can't believe this is UK.”
