This week, the annual Paris Air Show will be held at Paris Burgought Airport, coinciding with the prestigious SkyTrax World Airline Awards. Known as the “Aviation Oscars,” these awards once again won Qatar Airways as the world's best airline in 2025.
Paris Air Show highlights
The Paris Air Show is the cornerstone event of the aviation calendar and presents the latest innovations in the industry. This year, it has more than 2,500 exhibitors from nearly 50 countries, attracting around 300,000 visitors. Participants are looking forward to the impressive displays of 150 aircraft and 210 flight demonstrations, spanning 70 hectares of exhibition space.
The event also marks important new orders from the manufacturer as Airbus secures contracts from Vietjet, Lot and Riyadh Air.
Results of World Airline Awards 2025
On June 17, 2025, the results of the World Aviation Awards were announced in front of over 500 aviation experts. Qatar Airways has been awarded the title of “The World's Best Airline” for the ninth time, along with acclaim for the Middle East's best airline, the world's best business class, and the best business class airline lounge.

This follows the 11-20 include Switzerland, Eva Airlines, British Airways, Qantas, Lufthansa, Virgin Atlantic, Saudian, Starlux Airlines, Air Canada and Iberia.
In particular, Air France improved its rankings, won awards from the best airlines in Western Europe, received the best first class comfortable amenities and the world's best first class lounge dining.
