Travel safety warnings are shared by the Foreign, Federal and Development Authorities (FDCO) amid growing conflict in the Middle East, and have transformed that data into an interactive map. Foreign offices provide detailed explanations on whether countries should avoid, including countries that are safe for British people to travel and where certain parts are zones without zones. British citizens traveling to locations to FDCO advice may void travel insurance, they warn.

This comes amid the ongoing situation between Israel and Iran, as the conflict is escalating and between Israel and Palestine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is now warning British people about travel to more than 70 countries around the world. A warning has been issued against “all trips to all Israel and occupied Palestinian territory.” Additionally, FDCO describes the current situation in the Middle East as “a rapid situation poses a significant risk.” The map shows which countries are advised not to travel, and which are the safest countries, such as the US, Spain, and China.

Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory are now added to an existing list of nine countries that British travelers are currently advised not to visit under any circumstances.

Other countries on this list include Iran, Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, Belarus and Russia in the Middle East. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also advises all trips to most parts of Ukraine, but some warnings from the country are for “all essential” trips.

Brits are warned against all trips to South Sudan and Haiti due to violent security situations. The Foreign Office travel warning was updated on June 16th, with British citizens in Israel being told to register with the British government.

In total, there are 41 countries around the world, with British advised on all trips to a particular region. This list includes holiday destinations popular with British people such as Turkey, Egypt, India, Iraq, Pakistan and Tunisia.

As of June 16th, there are travel warnings for a third of the 226 countries listed on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. FCDO advises for all trips to the next part.

On the other hand, travel to certain parts of all countries is not advised.
