The footage was posted on social media, showing hotel workers removing towels left in their sunbeds Holiday Maker. In a video posted to Tiktok, staff collects towels and lounger towels that appear to have been left by cheeky guests trying to book a spot in the sun at the hotel's pool. The clip has been viewed over 40,000 times and encourages over 7,000 comments.

It shows the worker walking past the sun lounger after picking up a brightly colored beach towel until the sun lounger is loaded into his arms. At some point in the 30-second clip, the man can be seen removing the large towel used to cover the back of the three loungers.

His actions received widespread praise among users of Tiktok. Some of them shared their experiences of securing sun loungers on holidays. Tiktok users with an account named “I Am Spartacus” recommend “all hotels should do this.” The second “Rae” simply said, “I'll pay this guy.”

A fellow Tiktok user “Narelle Tanner” said he removed the towel from his chair when no one showed up after waiting an hour. They say the German man came back and kicked the chair and “trying to bully” her to get off.

Tiktok user “Darrenbishop298” praises hotel workers and commented: Fair Play. You can't walk into a restaurant in the morning and put your coat in a chair. Then I go back that night and say it's my table!

“Everyone who has traveled around Europe (sic) knows what this does!”

Many Tiktik users praised hotel workers. One comment from an account named “SSJ4_S” said, “This guy needs a medal.” Another “Sussie” said, “Please respect that guy!”

Another Tiktok user “Ni” shared the approach taken by the hotel, who said the hotel they stayed in was “the best”. They explained: “You had your own towel and had to use theirs. They were handed out when you went to the pool and were retrieved when you left. It stopped this.”

“djnitro” shared its own rebellious solution. “I'm just sitting there, I'm free to use if you're not in my seat. There's no reserve haha. People don't like it, I don't care.”
