*Regional flights to Ghana will begin in August
United Nigeria Airlines has partnered with Saber Corporation, one of the world's leading travel technology companies, to reach the global market.
Through the agreement, Sabre-connected travel agents around the world will access Nigeria's fares and inventory, supporting United Nigeria Airlines' ambitions for growth across Nigeria and West Africa.
During its launch in Lagos, UNA chair, Professor Obiora Okonkwo said the agreement would allow United to have more than 50,000 sable-connected agents in 200 countries, with access to carrier fares and inventory.
Speaking at the office of the airline in Lagos, Okonkou revealed that United will make its first regional flight to Accra, Ghana by August 25th. He said: “The agreement supports our growth strategy, raises visibility and enables travel agents to seamlessly shop and book fares. We look forward to welcoming more travelers through this new partnership. We look forward to having over 50,000 agents in 200 countries with the ability to buy tickets.
“We were increasing our capacity by more than 2,000% next year. We will be using four roughly aircraft from October to November. And from February to April next year, we will have six 737-800 engines in our fleet.
“As you may know, we have been designated West Africa, Africa, and many countries within the US and the UK. In response, we revised August 25 for our first regional flight to Accra, Ghana.
“We are pleased to announce that we are committed to a wide range of aviation sales at Alessandro Ciancimino, Saber, EMEA and EMEA.
“So we are proud to help United Nigeria Airlines take this important step to expand its reach. By participating in the Saber Travel Market, airlines will increase access to content from travel agents around the world, unlocking new opportunities for revenue and growth.”
Distribution agreements will enable travel sellers to build more customized itineraries for their clients, while providing Nigerian Airlines with new tools that will help them maximize reach and revenue potential.

Since its launch in 2021, United Nigeria Airlines has rapidly expanded to major Nigerian cities, including Abuja, Lagos, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Oweri, Asaba, Anambra, Kano, Wali, Katina, Sokoto, Bayelsa and Benin.
The airline is attempting to designate its African countries, including the UK, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Johannesburg, and the Dakar.
Further expansion of domestic routes including Jos, Maiduguri and Bauchi.
The agreement will allow airlines to strengthen their sales strategies, improve visibility and enter a new stage in their commercial capabilities.
