The “underrated” hidden gems of the UK are considered so beautiful that they look like something from a “Disney movie.”

The UK has a range of cute little-known towns and villages, and scenic places of natural beauty. From quiet seaside areas to forests and forests, there are a range of spots you can visit to escape the bustle of the metropolis.

One such place is Arundel Castle, located in Arundel, West Sussex. The castle is surrounded by peaceful gardens, with fountains and pots of flowers.

Overlooking the River Arun, it was built by Roger de Montgomery, Count of Arundel, at the end of the 11th century. During the Civil War (1642-45), the castle was severely damaged, but was restored and modified in the 18th and early 19th centuries by Charles Howard of Norfolk.

Today, visitors can explore the castle and grounds to learn more about the history of this historic English gem. According to Arundel Castle on Instagram, it is one of the largest residential and complete castles in the UK.

Tiktok users posted a short clip on the platform, giving them a glimpse into the beauty of the castle, describing it as “an underrated gem in the UK.” Viewers were impressed and compared it to Disney.

“That's amazing. It should be in Disney movies. I added one more. My first thought was the freeze that was called Arundel.”

The Disney film Frozen focuses on the sister Princess Anna and Queen Elsa of Arendelle's Land. The third Tiktok user commented:

“I'm very fortunate to live nearby. I go every year, it's gorgeous there.”

According to the official Arundel Caster website, visitors can explore “a wonderful variety of landscapes and environments” that include quirky madness, official collector Earl's Garden, and “explosions” and “delicate aromas.”

From the 18th and 19th centuries, the Defence Castle transforms into a grand, imposing home of the Duke of Norfolk, allowing you to wander around the state's rooms.

There is also a “glowing garden to explore with the surprises of each corner,” and Arundel Castle Gardens has been a finalist for the 2025 historic home garden garden.

The castle will open for visitors until Sunday, November 2nd. Tickets can be purchased online from the website and on the day at the ticket office. Prices vary for castles, gardens and events.
