North Wales' seaside city was chosen as the worst in the UK. Recent visitors to the Cathedral city of Gwynedd, Bangor, described it as “drab” and “rundown.”

“Even though they are thought to be a city of learning, they don't seem to be much cultured,” they refer to Bangor University, which covers around 11,000 students. However, there is no official use by the Bangor authorities of the term “city of learning.”
Another review on TripAdvisor stated, “It's a town we had high hopes for, but it didn't deliver anything. There's not much to see. In fact, we wasted time when we were able to visit other beautiful places like Beaumaris and Caernarfon.”
Mabrethorpe, located on the east coast of England in Lincolnshire, was not ranked in the survey either. It came in second from the bottom with just 46%, and was criticised for its food and drink options, tourist attractions and shopping facilities.
However, its beach and parking lot stopped coming to the last place as it won three stars in both of these categories. Mablethorpe hotels are also relatively inexpensive, costing an average of £86 per night.
About 30 miles southwest of Bristol, Burnham On Sea was breaded at tourist attractions, food and drink options, and survey shopping facilities. They were also given two stars on the pier and the seaside. The hotel is not cheap either, and on average charges £106 per night.
