Scotland's holiday parks are set to change the landscape of local holiday with a floating lodge for guests seeking the latest innovation: unique vacations. Located in the picturesque Angus countryside, Kingney's Forbes has long been welcomed as one of Scotland's finest holiday spots. The family-run gem offers charming accommodation, ranging from cozy shepherd's shepherd's shepherd's shepherd's shepherd's shepherd's shepherd's shepherd's shepherd's lodges to boathouses and quirky escape pods.

Angling enthusiasts gather at the resort for four “rich” fishing pools and a river rich with nearby trout. The stunning view also makes Kingney's Forbes a coveted place to tie the knot.

The unglorious retreat recently introduced wild swimming and sauna experiences, transforming the former fishing pond into a romantic heart-shaped pool for brave bathers. Currently, plans are underway to turn another fishing pool into a heaven of nine one-bedroom floating lodges in response to the cry of visitors.

The blueprint for this aquatic accommodation floats at Angus Council, revealing that each lodge has completed balconies.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the lodge features drain pumps linked to existing stations, but the lamps provide easy access to these buoyant homes.

The proposal would include building seven one-bedroom lodges and two two-bedroom lodges near the pond. Voigt Architects, the planner behind the project, said, “We believe this proposal will help improve the local offering of unique holiday accommodations that will benefit the surrounding towns and communities as well.”

The plan is currently awaiting approval from Angus Council. Councillor Mark Salmondo, a community and finance convener, said: “Angus is an outstanding beauty realm with picturesque towns, spectacular countryside, dramatic coastlines, great local food and historic landmarks.”

In 2021, the Angus tour began. The scheme incorporates seven Angus towns, sandy beaches, castles and Glens from the East Coast region, hoping to appeal to vacationers from close and far away.

The towns of Arbroath, Brechin, Carnoustie, Forfar, Kirriemuir, Monificeth and Montrose each have their own unique charms and can be discovered through new routes.

The Angus Tour route runs along the A92 from Monifes to Montrose and from inland to Bretin to Forfar and Glamis on the A90. Visitors can also fork and explore Edzel to the north and Kilimuia to the west, or enter Angus Glens.

A travel blogger at Kathi Kamleitner Watch Me See See said:

“From hiking in Glens in Angus and spotting wildlife, to learning about Scottish history at Arbros Abbey and incorporating beautiful coastlines, it's all here.”
