Holidays will be “smashed” this summer, according to campaigns introduced at more than 20 UK airports. Travelers are being urged by government-listed campaigns to “fly responsibly” or “pay the price.”
Before what is expected to be a busy summer with flights, too many campaigns remind you of boarding pass passes that if you consume too much alcohol at the airport, you can face serious penalties. Poster: “It's all that is needed to ruin the holidays, cause delays, land in prison, cancel flights, divert the plane.”
If travelers cause flight disruptions, they could be denied boarding, hit by a once-in-a-lifetime ban from the airline, or fined up to £80,000 for diverting the plane. There are too many campaign assets at over 20 UK airports, including London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Manchester, Newcastle International, Liverpool John Lennon and Bristol.
“We're looking forward to seeing you in the world,” said Karen Dee, CEO of the Airport Operators Association. “UK airports are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable travel experience for all passengers, urging travelers to enjoy their trip responsibly and not ruining their holidays or other people’s holidays.
“The airport will continue to monitor and act against destructive actions to ensure the safety of everyone.”
Too many campaigns first launched in 2018 have government support, including approval from the Transportation Bureau and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
