The Uganda Wildlife Agency (UWA) has announced an official leadership transition. The ceremony, held at UWA's Kampala Headquarters on April 2, was attended by key stakeholders, including tourism, wildlife and ancient ministers. Martin Mugarra Bahinduka and Senior Representative of the Government, Conservation Partners and Tourism Division.
Minister Bahinduka and other officials praised Mwanda's contribution in strengthening the conservation obligations of Wha and positioning Uganda as a model for wildlife conservation and tourism development. Dr Musinguzi outlined his strategic priorities, including diversifying revenue, increasing community engagement, restoring habitats and tackling wildlife crime. His leadership is trying to mark a new stage in the UWA, deepen its conservation impact and support the growth of Uganda's nature-based tourism sector.
