Transaction: Uganda Waragi is partnering with Port to boost tourism in Uganda

Kampala, Uganda | Independence | Ugandan Heritage Jin, Uganda Waragi, has renewed sponsorship for the four-day Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) at Spake Resort Munyo Nyo Convention Centre. This is the second year of support for the prestigious tourist event, which will be held from May 20th to 24th.

Officials say that as a brand rooted in cultural celebrations, the partnership is consistent with the brand's spirit and provides a strategic opportunity to position locally-made products globally as cultural pillars.

The expo, which reached the festival on May 24th, was organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Ancients in collaboration with the Uganda Tourism Commission (UTB) under the theme of “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation,” and Uganda is looking to position itself as a leader in eco-ojangial development in Africa.

This edition marks the 9th edition as Uganda's annual flagship tourism event.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of Expo, the mainstream spirit of brand managers at Uganda Brewery, he said, “For 60 years, Uganda Waragi has been a symbol of Ugandan heritage and exceptional craftsmanship.

Bagma's sentiment was echoed by the Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Ancient Ministers. Tom emphasized that the port is more than just an event. It is Uganda's flagship tourism marketing platform designed to connect local tourism businesses with international buyers, investors and media. Over the years it has grown into a regional brand, affirming Uganda's status as a major tourist destination in Africa.

Poate 2025 is a multi-stakeholder platform designed to create value and visibility for a wide range of participants, including international and regional host buyers, tour operators, destination management companies, luxury travel agents and travel designers seeking authentic Ugandan experiences. It is also very beneficial for companies in Uganda and East Africa to showcase their products, build new partnerships and expand the market scope.

The panel explains sightseeing on the first day.
