Turkish cargo airline ULS Airlines will receive the newly deployed Airbus A330-300 converted cargo ship by Dresden-based amendment specialist EFW.
The A330P2F Twinjet is the first of 30 to be converted for the US Air Transport Services Group.
According to EFW, many transformations will take place in Türkiye, China and Germany on behalf of the ATSG.
Founded in 2004, ULS Airlines operates three aged Airbus A310-300 cargo ships. The company is based in Istanbul.
Todd France, ATSG's chief commercial officer, says the delivery of the first A330 is a “decisive moment” for the company.
“The aircraft represents our commitment to innovation and competitiveness in the growth of the e-commerce market worldwide,” he adds.
The MSN356, equipped with the Rolls-Royce Trent 700, was previously operated by leisure carrier Thomas Cook Airlines.
“We don't want to meet the demand for capacity,” adds France. “We want to continue to be the main lessor for cargo ship aircraft.”
