President Donald Trump has suspended all US financial support for South Africa, citing concerns over land seizures, alleged violence against white farmers, and the country's massacre against Israel in the International Court of Justice. This week, Trump warned that he could skip the G20 summit in South Africa in November “unless the situation is taken care of.”

South African president Cyril Ramaphosa, who spoke in Ivory Coast, has rejected allegations that some Africans have said they have left the country due to resistance to racial reform after apartheid. Trump's Secretary of State Marco Rubio has already boycotted the G20 Foreign Ministers' meeting in protest.

A spokesperson for US Health and Human Services has confirmed coordination with the State Department, supporting South African immigrants' resettlement efforts, and hopes for more arrivals. Trump, supported by Elon Musk, claims that the media is ignoring the light letters of white South Africans.
