The creator of British food content stopped by an American take at a British pub and revealed to his subscribers on YouTube what he thought. The YouTuber known as Big Nibble “fastened” himself into his American hometown and visited the George and Dragon pub in Arizona. He begins the video, questioning “Is this American version of the British pub living in this British cultural expectations for this place?”

Viewing interior clips, pubs close to pubs hit the standard of general British pubs. It also featured the flags of England and Union Jack on the ceiling. But in addition to looking like the pub you'll find in the UK, there was one thing that actually surprised the secret Brit – it was the smell.

“The first thing that comes to this place they do right is amazing. I don't know how they did it, but it smells like the dark, dim pub of my childhood,” he says.

He shared all the photos of Queen Elizabeth II and England on the wall. Punters can also enjoy darts and pool games with multiple boards and tables scattered around the pub.

Of course, he couldn't leave without trying the food to see if it really lived in British culture. The food creator chose the classic fish and chips, but instead of mushy peas, the dish was served with lettuce and coleslaw. – “A good attempt.”

Conclusion of his visit, he tells viewers that if they find themselves in the US state, or if they miss the UK, a trip to George and the Dragon “may make you feel like you're at home.”

The video has earned 51,000 big names and over 1,200 comments about people who share their views at the “UK” pub.

Jokely said, “If there's too much sun nearby, it can't really be such a British experience with light.” Another commented: “The biggest gift that it's not actally American is not brute enough, everything is too big. The inexplicable random photos are accurate.”

Speaking about what it was like, one commented: “The smell is an old beer and cigarette, a forgotten combo in a British pub.”
