Solo travelers argue that she may have stumbled upon “the cleanest village in Britain” as she compared its cobblestone streets and crystal clear waters with those expected to find in Greece.
Known as a cassochian adventure on social media, Lana took her to Tiktok to showcase Devon's idyllic place. Her short clip began with a peer in the ocean before heading to the beach via a cobblestone road.
She continued to roam the steep streets between the “charming cottages” before indulging in cream tea. “I can't believe this is in Devon,” she confessed, revealing that the location is Crawley's fishing village north of the county.
“It was like going back in time with cars not allowed, and it felt like Greek, hanging a basket of flowers looking at the cobblestone streets, bright white houses, and the sea of turquoise,” Lana gushed.
But for those interested in checking it for themselves, she warned.
Rana also pointed out that she must pay as it is a private property to enter the village, but the fee includes parking. She closed: “I want to get back as soon as possible so don't worry about checking out.”
Written in Reponse, one Tiktok user who visited the village said, “It's worth £9 per adult and is absolutely fantastic. The £9 ticket is valid for 7 days, so I visited the garden and bought some small plants.”
The second added: The third admitted: “I love it here! But the summer walk was a killer.”
The fourth agreed. The fifth individual said, “So beautiful, sometimes you wouldn't think it's in the UK.”
Meanwhile, the village history was “owned by many royal associations when it was originally given to his wife by the British King William Conqueror, and was first acquired by the Giferd family until 1242.
“It was around the village as a result of Charles Kingsley's 'Westward Ho!”, where visitors began to come. Christine Hamlin inherited the property in 1884 and married in 1889.
“She and her husband have renovated many village cottages, so why are you watching her initials. John Lou, the current owner of Crawley, is her great magnificent. You can see a lovely portrait of Christine Hamlin in her wedding dress in the room at Hamlin, a new inn.”
