The US has terminated the UK and is exempt from Taiwan visas. Nigeria is inappropriate

The US has announced countries eligible for the 2025 visa waiver program. Among other African countries, Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana are not included in the new visa waiver programme for 2025. This is because the country is in place up-to-date information to allow eligibility policies and other regulations.

The US Department of State recently announced an update to the 2025 Visa Waiver Program (VWP), featuring an updated list of eligible countries and new travel guidelines.

This update will make it easier for millions of people around the world to enter the US without a visa, making it more accessible for business, tourism and transport travel.

However, while the new VWP opens exciting opportunities for international travelers from many countries, some have expressed disappointment at this development.

The 2025 Visa Waiver Program includes 40 countries where citizens can enter the United States without a visa. Romania was added to the list as a new participant this year. Nevertheless, Taiwan and the UK are eligible based on certain criteria.

The U.S. Consular Office website states that the visa waiver program allows citizens or citizens of participating countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business for up to 90 days without the need for a visa.

The Visa Waiver Program allows travelers from qualifying countries to visit the US for up to 90 days for tourism and business without obtaining a visa.

Rather than endure the lengthy visa application process, eligible individuals can submit electronic systems for travel approval (ESTA) requests prior to departure.

While most of the list of VWPs has not been changed, the inclusion of Romania represents a notable change. The US is also focused on improving security measures and prioritizing the country with solid diplomatic relations and robust border security protocols.
