North Atlantic Airways plans to enhance long-distance services between Cape Town and London Gatwick by quadrupleting flight frequency per week.

According to the timeouts from April 1, 2024 to April 27, 2024, the airlines are aiming to meet the growing demand for this popular route ahead of the peak tourist season.

Under a new schedule, flights depart Cape Town We will land at 11am every Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 9:40pm in London Gatwick.

Meanwhile, Norwegian passengers returning to Mother City can expect to depart from London Gatwick at 8pm on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and arrive in Cape Town at 8:30am the next morning.

The coordination made by the Nordic Atlantic has successfully increased the demand for direct links between South Africa and the UK, particularly as more travelers are looking for business and leisure opportunities in both countries.

This expansion coincides with the broader development of air travel connectivity in the region.

Following this initial expansion, the Nordic Atlantic will return to three flights per week from October 28th to November 2024, and will resume four flights per week from December 1st to April 2026.

Such scheduling reflects the airline's commitment to adapt services to meet demand, ensuring passengers have reliable options during peak travel.

Last month, Air France-KLM announced a key intervention agreement with South African airline cemeteries. This further enhances passenger travel options.

The partnership leverages Air France-KLM's established gateways to Johannesburg and Cape Town, allowing seamless travel between international and regional flights, making it easier for travelers to explore South Africa to date.

“Air travel is about connecting people, and this partnership with Cemair will significantly improve our ability to serve South African passengers,” said Wilson Tauro, country manager at Air France-KLM.

The collaboration allows travelers to book a combined itinerary with a single ticket, connecting Air France-KLM's Global Reach with Cemair's large domestic services.

Cemair CEO Miles van der Molen has expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. Our interline agreements provide convenience and savings to our customers, allowing them to seamlessly connect to this vast global network of founding members of the aviation industry.
