While nothing will ruin your trip to sunny places like crowded, noisy beaches, there are some beautiful seaside towns in the UK that are incredibly underrated. Conwy is an attractive coastal town on the north coast of Wales, located between both the river and the sea.

Its unique location offers very scenic waterfront views and means it is located right next to several beaches just a short distance from town. However, with medieval walls surrounding the town, one of the best reasons to visit Conway is its rich history, with its spectacular castle overlooking one of the beaches dramatically.

Conwy was named one of the best “hidden jewel coastal towns” by its broken holiday due to its stunning views and charming castle.

They stated: “Conwy's UNESCO-listed castle rules the walled town, but the recent regeneration project at Conwy Key has brought new life to the waterfront.

“To be grateful for the wonderful natural location of Conwy, take a walk along the shore towards the marina and embrace the cape as you gently sway along the shores of playful flapping fishing boats and birdlife from the nearby RSPB reserve.”

One of the biggest reasons to visit Conwy is clearly well preserved architecture, as it still has 13th century walls, towers and castles built by King Edward I.

While it is a great place to explore medieval history, Conwy Castle offers breathtaking views of the surrounding seas, hills, and even the town.

If you're a sun seeker, right next to town is Conwie Morfa Beach, a sandy area with views of the hills, and is known to be quiet, so it's definitely worth a visit if you want a peaceful trip.

There are also pebbles at the top, but the closer you get to the water, the more sand you get. It's a little farther away, but is known to have great views of Conwy, so it's definitely worth a visit if you want to take lots of photos.

However, one of the biggest reasons to visit Conwy is known for its fun festival. More recently, they are celebrating the Conway Pirate Festival to celebrate the town's heritage. It included treasure hunting, performances, workshops and even re-establishment of militias on ships.

Conwy is a beautiful place known for its rich history and stunning scenery with plenty to do for such a small town. So if you're looking for a quiet seaside getaway, this is definitely a town to consider.
