The cruise ship passengers discovered that one word was “banned” after accidentally saying it. Travel News | Travel

Passengers on the cruise ship were made into the virus after accidentally dropping “banned” words onto the ship. If you've ever stepped on a boat, you can probably guess what it is. Tiktoker and content creator Marc Sebastian took part in the Royal Caribbean's highly publicized nine months of world cruise last year, documenting his leg trips on Antalc Island in South America.

However, one off-hand statement at lunchtime caused more waves than the ship itself. Now, in a virus clip, Sebastian recounts the moment he unconsciously breaks one of the most superstitious, unclear rules of cruising. He accidentally mentioned Titanic.

He said: “I took it into the entire room of people having lunch. Our ship is only 100 feet longer than the Titanic.”

He added: “When I told you, the tools fell off.

Despite attempting casual and fun facts, mere mention of the unfortunate 1912 ship has rocked fellow passengers visible. A friend at the table had to lean carefully to advise him that Titanic's story was strictly taboo.

Confusing by the dramatic response, Sebastian said, “Who knew that?

While some may see him as understandable as a fake PA, others, especially seasoned cruise fans, sympathize with the creepy superstition. Still, viewers for the comments were split.

“I'm sorry, I'm on the boat and I'm talking about Titanic and Ocean Gate,” he wrote.

Another addition: “Is Titanic's on the Cruise the same as Macbeth in the theatre?”

The third joke said, “The inability to talk about the Titanic would definitely ruin my experience.”

With millions of vision, the clip not only exposed unexpected sea rules, but also revealed Sebastian's godfather, another quirk in the cruise ship tradition: the ship's godfather. In this case, it is none other than Whoopi Goldberg who described Sebastian as “a kind of iconic.”

The cruise community has its own code, and obviously it's better not to be told at sea.
