Frequent flyers, who believe they have found the “best sheet” at Gatwick Airport, explained how to find a perspective. This tip is perfect for holiday makers who enjoy spotting their plane while waiting to board the plane.
The recommendation was shared on Tiktok by a blogger named James, posted on Tiktok as @Pilot.ni. Private pilot James only knows where passengers depart from Gatwick's North Terminal.
In a popular post, the aviation enthusiast said: “This is the best seat at Gatwick Airport, and can you look out the window and see the aircraft landing and takeoff? There's a way to get there. Follow the signs from Gate 101 to 113.
He continued: “The escalators are up for departure and if they have just arrived, they are split from passengers arriving. The only way from those arriving is to go down the lift.
James clearly thought it was worth the effort. Filming the scenery, he told his followers:
He added: “This bridge is incredibly long and quickly goes over the tax road. It gives you a stunning view of all the action on the ground, allowing you to spend hours here.
However, if you want to find the best seats of all, you will need to keep walking. “The best seating in the house is at the edge of the bridge, so if you keep walking you will arrive in this seating area,” advised James.
As he pointed out, passengers departing from Gates 101 to 113 pull the escalator down to the departure area. There are several shops in this. Alternatively, those who need to find another gate can follow the directions of the correct gate and return via the lift.
James' video has been viewed over 12,000 times and received several comments. Someone responded: “Don't tell them a secret place!!!”
Another answer was read as follows: “I'll go there one day and just the escalator went up and I didn't want to get stuck, so I didn't want to miss the flight, so give it a try next time.”
Try some tips and don't forget to leave enough time to find the gate. The Gatwick Airport website states, “After checking in, we recommend heading straight to security and heading to the departure lounge.”
