Some vacationers believe there is definitely a “better” country for tourists than Thailand, and there are significantly fewer visitors. Thailand is a very popular destination for British people. They are often backpackers and those looking for a trip filled with culture and natural beauty. But in Asia there are stunning beaches, friendly locals and other countries that have done amazing things that they say are worthy of you many times.

The Philippines is also located in Southeast Asia, and is made up of over 7,000 islands with stunning coastal views, highly rated hiking and nature experiences, things tourists should do, and food prices cheaper than Thailand. According to travel insurance provider Pacific Prime, the Philippines receives less than 10 million tourists each year, with 40 million people in Thailand increasing the war. Thailand is often considered more expensive, so tourists are looking for an alternative to the popular Asian holiday destinations in the Philippines.

Both are very culturally unique, making it difficult to compare Thailand with the Philippines from time to time. However, many tourists travel to these countries for the same reasons, including beaches, seaside resorts, forests, wildlife and nightlife.

One blogger known online as a Philippine hopping island says she has lived in Thailand for many years, but feels that the Philippines is “much better.” She writes: “There are 7,000 beach paradise islands in the Philippines. They won't stop. You can choose a random corner of the country and enjoy the rest of your life in paradise.”

Meanwhile, others shared why the Philippines beat Thailand in terms of its best travel destination in Southeast Asia. One TripAdvisor user said, “Filipinos are definitely more friendly than Thailand, and overall the Philippines (sometimes except El Nido and Panglao/Bohol-Alona Beach) are much more crowded and touristy than Thailand, which has a lot of visitors.”

Another share: “The beaches are better in the Philippines than in Thailand, and it's not just Boracay.”

YouTube creator Fonsi said the Philippines has more beaches with crystal clear water and white sand that “blow your mind.” Meanwhile, a YouTube creator couple known as Jump Place said that beaches in the Philippines are far better.

Some people have presented discussions about Thailand getting better, saying it's a better setup with the infrastructure to welcome tourists. Furthermore, since it is primarily on the mainland, the Philippines is made up of so many islands that you can travel around the country by car, bus or train.

Traveling between these islands can make the cost wise and when traveling through authentic Asia, the region of Thailand often says that it can provide accommodations that are suitable for money. For Britons, Thailand is nearby, and flights between London and Bangkok take around 11 hours and 40 minutes. It takes nearly 16 hours to reach Manila's Philippine capital.

The Philippines attracts nature lovers with its beaches, forests and mountains. White Beach is one of the nation's top attractions, and according to reviewers on TripAdvisor, it is “the island paradise.”

Other top-rated attractions in the Philippines include El Nido Beach, Lake Cayangan, Puerto Purinza Metro River, Big Ragoon and Chocolate Hills Natural Monument.

The Philippines' capital, Manila, also offers a wide range of things to do for tourists, including Instramuros Historic District, Fort Santiago, Lizar Park and the National Museum.
